New Member and Monster Book Epic Question

I am a new member here and I am having a great time reading through the threads. I grew up in Michigan in the late 70s and 80s. I have a question about a few books I bought as a kid and I think this boards members may be the only chance I have of identifying them. This would very cool to me as I think they are the last unknown items I had as a kid.

Any good scoops on local Halloween happenings?

Movies:
I know the Redford theater is showing Werewolf of London and House of Dracula on October 16 & 17. I'm thinking about bringing my kids.

I just ordered the recent Trick R' Treat in hopes of being pleasantly surprised. I've heard a lot of good things about this movie and have high hopes.

Looking forward to the AMC and Turner annual Halloween showings. I haven't checked the...

I was just thinking back to those good old days and I had a movie flashback and can't for the life of me remember the title. Okay, as fragmented as it is, here goes....

I vaguely remember it takes place on an island; there are female sacrifices (and they happen to be nude- woo-hoo!, but you never actually see anything) to some creature, it's in color, the creature take the sacrifices (and shreds/eats them); and the 'hero' of the film rescues the female...

(Forgive me for posting this if someone else has posted it, or something like it before). Do you think that there will ever be another horror movie host show even remotely as popular or successful as Sir Graves? I've seen a few shows recently on local access tv channels, but they do more "stupid" schlok than showing any horror movies. The last one that came remotely close was "Dr. Shock's X-Ray Chiller Theater" that was shown here in Toledo on Friday nights...

I just posted 35 TV Guide ads for sci-fi and horror movies shown in the late '60s and '70s. Most are from channels 2 and 7, including 7 Sir Graves Ghastly ads. hello everyone. i was remembering parts of a movie i saw years ago. b&w, i think. anyway, it had three stories and i only remember two. one was about a guy that had a high-pitched whistle that could set things on fire. i think he wore a mask and fell in love with a woman he was going to marry. somehow she sees his face and starts to laugh uncontrolably. initially he is hurt and then angry AND THEN starts to whistle. this sets her on fire and she burns to death.
