OK, Trekkies...Or should I say Trekkers, as Leonard himself might say...I just found out today the tragic news that Leonard Nimoy, who played the original Dr. Spock, on the series "Star Trek" and it's related franchise of films, has passed away at the age of 83 from a pulmonary disease. I heard it was COPD, brought on by years of smoking, although he hadn't smoked in quite some time...This news, I must say, is highly illogical! Whatever happened to "live long and prosper"??? Anyway, he was also the narrator of "In Search Of..." for many years, too...As well as being a respected actor, he was also a fine poet and occasional singer...I think I will pull out his version of "The Ballad Of Bilbo Baggins", and give it a spin...Who remembers his album, "Music From Outer Space"?
I must say...RIP Leonard...May you go boldly where no (mortal) man has gone before!
