Posts: 2 Apr 16 03 2:58 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Am I crazy, or was there a show called "Jerry Booth's Funhouse" in the 60's? I seem to remember them showing the old Marvel SuperHeroes (Iron Man, Hulk, etc) and Japanese cartoons like Kimba, and I think it was on Channel 9. This is my first posting to this site...reading past comments/subjects has been a lot of fun...I especially liked the Bill Bonds rant! I just barely remember him (I left Michigan when I was 13), but he seems like a real fun guy to have on TV. Anyway, if anyone has any recollections of "Funhouse", please dredge 'em up and post 'em! I believe there was a rotation of 5 characters each alloted their own day. Let's see there was Aquaman, Hulk, Captain America, Thor and Ironman. I can't remeber the 5th - anyone help me that one. The animation was really crappy. A lot of inner dialog voiced over an almost still sceen. If I remeber correctly, Kimba and the other Japanese characters like Speed Racer where on channel 50.

In addition to Jerry, there was a moose head on the wall named Clyde, who's vocabulary consisted of one word: UH HUH! I saw Jerry in person at Universal City, in front of that great space mural that is now unfortunately gone. In the late 50s- early 60s Jerry was also Jingles from Jingles In Boofland. His rotation did include Marvel characters, Iron Man, The Hulk, Capt. America, The Mighty Thor and Submariner. In addition, the show also ran Thunderbirds, Eight Man, Gigantor, Astro Boy and Sin Bad the Sailor. I remember seeing Jerry and a mobile "Funhouse" during an appearance at Livonia mall. I had a photo and button with the Funhouse and Channel 9 logo. But mom tossed them one day. I wonder what they would fetch to collectors now? Sorry Mom, you don't always know best.

Our neighbors at the time moved to a house in Rochester and invited us over to see the house. They pointed out that mobile Funhouse sitting in the backyard next door ... Jerry Booth's house. Pretty kewl for a kid in the 60's.
