Posts: 32 May 1 02 10:21 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	In addition to his television work, Bud Davies also worked as a disc jockey on CKLW radio. I think his last show on the area airwaves was a program he hosted from Windsor Raceway on Channel 9 in the mid-60s. I remember that Bud would sit at a desk and conduct interviews, and he ALWAYS was smoking a cigarette.

Posts: 0 May 8 02 8:02 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Sometime around '74, a college friend and I drove out to his cottage outside of Windsor. On the way there, we stopped by Bud's house to see his daughter. We stayed for about an hour, chatted with his daughter, then left for the cottage. Bud was out of town. I remember it was a charming brick residence on a quiet street in Windsor. Later that weekend, Bob Seger & a bunch of other Detroit area musicians showed up at a neighboring cottage on Lake Erie to hang around and play music. An interesting time to say the least. Now, back to the Heavy Music. Have fun!

I was just a kid then (19) and he was an awesome role model! I had never met someone more determined to deliver the best product to his listeners as did Bud. And he did everything in the highest class! I was in awe of him then and remain so to this day. I have many stories to share while working with Bud. I hope I'll get to talk to you sometime. Cameo Posts: 1 Apr 8 12 11:59 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	My friends and I were regulars on Dance Party.To get a pass you had to purchase an album or record on a charity auction he conducted.This would give you a pass to go on frequently.\this was late 50s early 60s at studio on Detroit river downtown Windsor .Great way to meet girls from Detroit thanks Bud whereever you are .you were a great guy
